T minus 2 days to departure 🚀

A couple of weeks ago, I tested out the van I’ll be driving on the road trip. I brought the furry dude (Doolin) and less furry dude (Collin). It was a resounding success! We loaded up, hit the road, acquired a wifi hotspot for me to use on the road, and made our way to the sun in eastern Washington.

We tried out the onboard kitchen, the work table setup, all of the storage spots, and most importantly all the places Doolin will want to be during the long drives. I know how to empty the gray water, turn on the power for the kitchen, and swivel the driver and passenger seats to make a sitting area.

Since then, I’ve ironed out the few remaining details: finished the packing list, found a way to keep the dog safe on long drives, and found an induction-ready stovetop espresso pot.

Tomorrow I pick up the van and load it up, and we take off Friday morning.

The first work stop is Salt Lake City, for the Life Insurance and Annuity Conference. Looking forward to my first conference since 2019!
